Actor Patrick J. Adams has finally spoken about the humorous but somewhat cryptic reference to Meghan Markle that still appears in his Instagram bio.
Adams and Markle starred together in the popular legal drama Suits, where they played Michael Ross and Rachel Zane. Their on-screen relationship became a central storyline, eventually leading to their characters getting married.
Since then, however, their real lives have taken very different directions.
Markle was still part of *Suits* when she began her relationship with Prince Harry, whom she later married in 2018. Several of her former co-stars, including Adams, attended the royal wedding.
In 2020, Meghan and Harry stepped back from their roles as senior members of the British royal family and relocated to California, where they now live with their two children.
The Instagram Bio That Sparked Attention
During a recent appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, hosted by Amanda Hirsch, Adams was asked about his Instagram bio.
The bio reads:
“the other guy from that show that you’re watching on that app because that girl married that prince.”
Responding to the attention it has received, Adams admitted that he has considered changing it.
“I’ve got to change that,” he said, before joking that Markle would likely roll her eyes if she saw it. He added that eye-rolling was something he often got from her during their time working together.
Although Markle has never directly commented on the bio, Adams joked that he is certain she would have reacted that way.
Are They Still in Touch?
While promoting a *Suits* rewatch podcast he launched with co-star Sarah Rafferty in 2024, Adams was asked about his current relationship with Markle.
He explained that they are no longer in regular contact, noting that she now leads a very different life.
However, he shared that Markle did reach out with a supportive message after hearing about the podcast.
“She sent a lovely text saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help,” Adams said, describing the gesture as meaningful after so many years apart.
A Friendship That Has Evolved
Although their lives have diverged significantly, Adams’ comments suggest that there is still mutual respect and goodwill between the former co-stars.
From starring together on a hit television series to navigating completely different paths in life, their story reflects how professional relationships can evolve over time while still maintaining a sense of connection.
